This is just a small blog I decided to create so I could keep a short diary of what is going on in my life. I am first and foremost a wool addict and crafter. I love creating things from scratch and hope that you enjoy reading about what I get up to.
As you can guess if you have looked at my blog, I love to work with anything to do with fiber and yarn. I can’t get enough of it. I won my first spinning wheel in April and have never looked back. I love learning new things to do with yarn, and since joining Ravelry several years ago I like to think my knowledge has improved drastically from simple knit and purl! I can now knit, crochet, tunisian crochet, spin with a drop spindle, spin with a spinning wheel, needle felt, and lots more! I plan on finding out more on dyeing yarn, and recycling yarn. The next thing I would like to try out is Nalbinding, a Viking form of knitting and sewing in one. My dream would be to have my own wool shop, and spin and dye my own yarn to sell. I have also branched out into soap-making, reborn doll making and busy book making.
Another thing about me you will find out soon enough is that I also adore animals. I have a gorgeous Golden Labrador called Freddy and he is my life. I also have another sweetheart called Alfie, a little black labrador. They sleep on my bed at night keeping me safe and happy. I also have some beautiful chinchillas, Evie and Molly. Evie is a grand old madam at almost fifteen! She is so sweet and adorable, whereas Molly, only three, is inquisitive, curious and so funny. I miss my other two dogs terribly. Ben and Bo. They had a big impact on my life and I think of them and miss them every day. My blog is frequently updated with pictures of my lovely rescue chickens too and they gave me the inspiration for one of my free crochet patterns.
I have a group on Facebook which you are more than welcome to join It is called Empress Spinning. Feel free to join and add some crafty pictures and join in the chat. I am also in the middle of creating a spinning website so that beginners (because we all started somewhere!) would have a one stop place to find out about different spinning things, e.g. how to wash fleece, how to dye with kool-aid and things like using a niddy-noddy.
That’s all for now really.

The quote below makes me think of my fiance. If it had been one minute in either direction, we might never have met. The value of one single minute is astonishing. He is my Serendipity. Three and a half years together ❤
Life is not a series of meaningless accidents. When things are bound to happen, they surely will. You are not an accident and I was meant to know you. That’s serendipity.
